Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy

Our Commitment to Protection

CEIYEE Foundation is committed to promoting the safety, dignity, and well-being of all children and vulnerable individuals we serve. We believe that every child is precious, created with value and purpose, and has the right to grow in a safe, nurturing, and protective environment free from harm, abuse, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination.

Our safeguarding commitment is grounded in our Christian values of love, compassion, justice, and respect for human dignity. Protecting children and vulnerable people is not optional — it is central to our mission and responsibility.

Scope of the Policy

This policy applies to all CEIYEE Foundation activities, programs, and operations, including:

  • Orphan and vulnerable children support

  • Education and school initiatives

  • Healthcare and community outreach programs

  • Water and sanitation projects

  • Emergency and humanitarian assistance

  • All staff, volunteers, partners, and representatives

The policy applies across all locations where CEIYEE Foundation operates, including Australia and the communities we serve internationally.

Zero Tolerance for Abuse

CEIYEE Foundation has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of abuse, exploitation, neglect, harassment, or misconduct toward children or vulnerable persons. Any concerns, suspicions, or allegations will be taken seriously and responded to promptly, fairly, and in accordance with legal and organisational procedures.

Responsibilities

All staff, volunteers, contractors, and partners are required to:

  • Treat children and vulnerable people with dignity and respect

  • Act in the best interests of the child at all times

  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

  • Report any safeguarding concerns immediately.

  • Comply with safeguarding training and procedures.
